Posts cut to show how the Creosote heat pressure treatment goes into the post. Each post is grown from an individual tree and the white centre is called the "Heart wood". This part of the tree is so dense and hard the treatment cannot penetrate it but the softer wood known as the "Sap wood" towards the outside of the post gets treated fully in the process.
